The main objective of this project is to offer a complete course in Road Safety via interactive digital content.

One of the key features of the course is the specific development of content for circulation on the net, highlighting all those aspects which can not be transmitted on traditional media. We have designed, for this, a virtual driving school in which animations and interactivity are the main learning vehicles.

Tracking tools have been incorporated into this learning “corpus” (student evolution graphics and statistics) and other collaborative tools too, such as for example, a road safety blog and wiki, with the Highway Code in its entirety ready for discussion and understanding.

The contents of the virtual driving school are divided into 3 very different chapters:

• Training

  The most complete and complex of all three. This chapter introduces, in an entertaining and interactive way, the basic rules of driving which every public road user must know and tests their knowledge via driving tests and “interactive videotests”.
  
  In its turn, this section is divided into subsections Tests, Rules, Video-tests, Mechanics and Glossary, each one of which develops the required facets to complete the training of new drivers.

• Road Safety

  Knowledge of the basic Road Safety rules is essential for the safety of the driver and other public road users. Special note has been made of practical information by means of examples which allow the browser, amongst many other things, to “practice” a correct driving position, know the effects of different levels of alcohol consumption or establish braking distances depending on vehicle speed and road conditions.

• Safety: your car

  This section teaches new drivers the maintenance protocols required to keep your car in good condition, thereby improving your safety, and offers solutions to possible problems and breakdowns that may affect your car due to lack of maintenance.
