When talking about web design the first thing that pops into our minds is a beautifully designed interface with quality photographs and graphics. However, all these criteria are subjective: that which is elegant for some is clumsy for others and that which is eye-catching for many is vulgar for a few.

At 2mdc we base our design strategy on objective criteria:

• Coherence with the brand image of the client
• Download speed and navigation agility
• Use of industry standards which improve usability and accessibility and which simplify future migrations
• Information-building which optimizes search engine indexing

And with regard to more in-apprehensible criteria, such as certain info-graphic aspects:

• We establish strict graphic validation protocols with our clients
• The client remotely supervises, via a test server, the entire development of the interface.

To follow we present, with comments, some of our web design fruit of this compromise between aesthetics and functionality. The graphic quality may be “open to debate” but not the results: search engine positioning, increase in website traffic, growth of online sales…
